Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 September 2026
The short version
- In Discord we ask only for your basic profile: your user ID, username, display name and avatar. Never your email, servers, friends, messages or voice.
- We keep your game stats so your streak works, and today's progress so you don't start over in another session. Everything else about a game is wiped automatically within 48 hours.
- On the web we don't know who you are. Your progress on today's puzzle stays in your own browser.
- We count visits and finished rounds anonymously, with nothing that identifies you. No ads, no cookies, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
- Want your data gone? Ask us and we will delete it.
Who we are
Globe Party is a geography guessing game that you can play as an Activity inside Discord or in a web browser. In this policy, "Globe Party", "we" and "us" mean the people who run it. You can reach us at globeparty.help@outlook.com.
What we collect, and why
When you play inside Discord
When you open the Activity, Discord asks whether you want to share your basic account information with the game. This is Discord's identify permission, and it is the only one we ask for. If you allow it, we receive:
- your Discord user ID, username and display name;
- your avatar, so the other players can see who is playing.
We do not receive your email address, phone number, the servers you are in, your friends, your messages or anything said in voice chat.
To confirm your sign-in, Discord gives the game a short-lived access token. Our server passes it straight back to the game running on your device. When you join a game session, the game sends the token to our server once more, and our server shows it to Discord to confirm who you are, so nobody can pretend to be you. We do not store it.
Game sessions
Everyone in the same Activity session plays one shared board. For that board we store each guess: the country guessed, when it was made, and the user ID and display name of the person who made it. Everyone in that session can see your display name, avatar and guesses. That is how the co-op game works.
Your stats
So your streak can carry over from day to day, we keep a small record linked to your Discord user ID: how many days you have played, your current and longest streak, your fewest guesses in a day, how many guesses your days usually take, and the last day you played. Your stats are shown only to you, inside the game.
Your progress today
So you don't have to start over if you leave and come back, or play in another channel or server, we keep a record linked to your Discord user ID of which of today's rounds you have solved: for each one, the answer, how many guesses and hints it took, and who solved it. You get credit for a round when you see it solved in your session. The details are shown only to you. The other players in a session can see how many of today's rounds you have solved.
When you play in a web browser
The web version does not ask who you are, and it does not store anything about you on our servers. Your progress on today's puzzle is kept in your own browser, as described under "On your own device".
Anonymous usage counts
So we know how many people play, the game sends our server a short note when it opens, and when a round or a whole day is finished. The note says only which of those happened, whether it was on the web or in Discord, and for a finished round which kind of round it was and how many guesses it took. It carries no user ID, name, IP address or anything else that identifies you or your device, so we cannot tell whether two notes came from the same person. We store these counts with Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine.
On your own device
The game remembers your light/dark theme, whether sound is muted and whether you have seen the "How to play" guide, using your browser's local storage. On the web it also keeps your progress on today's puzzle there: the countries you have guessed in each round and the hints you took, so a refresh or a closed tab doesn't lose them. It is replaced when the next day's puzzle starts. If your browser supports it, the game also stores its own files on your device so it can open without a connection. All of this stays on your device and is never sent to us. We do not use cookies.
Technical information
The game is hosted on Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the game and protect it from abuse. We do not use this to identify you, and we do not keep our own logs of it. Avatars are loaded from Discord's image servers through Discord.
How we use it
We use the information above only to run the game:
- to show who is playing and who made each guess to the people in your session;
- to keep your stats and streaks, and your progress on today's puzzle;
- to count, anonymously, how many people play and how many rounds get finished;
- to keep the game working and secure.
We do not use it for advertising, we do not build profiles of you, we do not sell or rent it, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Who we share it with
- Other players in your session see your display name, avatar and guesses, and how many of today's rounds you have solved.
- Discord runs the platform the Activity lives on. Your use of Discord is covered by Discord's own Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare hosts the game and stores the data described here on our behalf. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
We would disclose information beyond this only if the law required us to.

Your choices
- Delete your data. Email us your Discord username and user ID and we will delete your stats and progress. To find your user ID, turn on Developer Mode in Discord's settings (under Advanced), then right-click your name and choose Copy User ID.
- Stop sharing. You can remove Globe Party's access at any time in Discord, under User Settings → Authorized Apps.
- Your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is used. Contact us and we will help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
You must meet Discord's minimum age to use Discord, which is 13 in most countries. Globe Party is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has shared information with us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and where data is stored
Everything is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The data is stored on Cloudflare's network, which runs in many countries, so it may be processed outside the country where you live. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we store to the small set described on this page.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also say so in the game.
